Session Types
-
One-on-one sessions focused on what YOU would like to talk about. No agenda, no to-do list - just what is coming up for you. My job as the counselor/therapist is to listen, reflect, and create a supportive space for discussion. We will set goals YOU desire, and work toward YOUR wants and needs in life.
-
One-on-one sessions focused on 6-8 mental performance modules, perfect for competitive athletes and high performers. Number of sessions can vary based on what you would like to focus on. We will work through mental performance principles to allow you to reach the next level of your skills, abilities, and potential!
-
If individual counseling and mental performance consultation both sound like great options for you, we can work on a mix of both!
-
Are you a coach, team lead, or athletic director interested in mental performance presentations for a team or group? Please email me for my list of presentations available to help your team improve their mental performance skills. In-person and virtual presentations are available.
Meet Delaney (she/her)
Hi there! My name is Delaney Kemp. I work with individuals interested in individual counseling and/or mental performance sessions.
B.S. Kinesiology
M.A. Clinical Mental Health Counseling
G.Cert. Cultural Studies & Equity
I was a student-athlete at Kansas State University while pursuing my bachelor’s degree, and at the University Northern Colorado while pursuing my master’s degree. Amongst multiple bone stress injuries and surgeries from athletics, I found my worth with and without sport. The lessons and principles I learned (and continue to learn) along the way are what I love to share and help clients find in counseling/therapy!
My clinical interests include depression, anxiety, mindfulness, self-care, self-exploration, chronic pain management, life adjustments, social connectedness, and overall health and wellness.
I have experience working in a psychological services clinic, family medicine office, and university counseling center. I use my background in Kinesiology and as a student-athlete to enhance my skills within the mental health field to help people achieve their highest functioning selves and traverse difficult seasons in life.
I believe everyone deserves to be seen and heard, have support in clarifying and enacting their values, and have space to build skills to remain present and accepting of their own unique experiences. I am here to listen and help you navigate life’s challenges with care and expertise. I work with people from all different backgrounds and goals in life, and I would be honored to know you too. Let’s connect!
